| Hourly rates are discussed before a project is started but a client is charged only for actual time spent working on the project. Additional costs may be incurred for shipping charges or long-distance phone expenses. You will not be charged for set-up fees or time spent looking up information in a style guide. Before the Book’s editorial services are fast and accurate, thereby offering the best value and a high-quality product. |
| An estimate can be provided before the project begins. In addition, Before the Book can edit a 5-to-10-page sample to determine whether the level of edit meets your needs. Services are tailored to a client’s cost threshold and the desired output. Rates vary depending on the services desired and the type of document (general vs. technical, single spaced vs. double spaced, basic scan vs. scan-proof-edit). For estimating purposes, Before the Book’s average pages-per-hour (pph) rates for double-spaced pages are as follows: |
